7 / 28 - score 56%
The Transpac 49 is a 48.5ft masthead ketch designed by George Duke and built in fiberglass between 1976 and 2004.
The Transpac 49 is a moderate weight sailboat which is slightly under powered. It is reasonably stable / stiff and has an excellent righting capability if capsized. It is best suited as a heavy bluewater cruising boat. The fuel capacity is good. There is an excellent water supply range.
This boat has an average score but ranks in the top quarter. It seems difficult to do much better. It is one of the best possible tradeoff for this request.
